2010/07 Q:1. What is your business exactly?

A:In China, we provide our corporate and public clients with customized solutions, includes:
Employee and Public Benefit Solutions,
Reward, Incentive, Gift Solutions,
Expense Management Solutions,
Relationship Marketing Solutions.

Q:2. Will Edenred, new corporate, be weakened without its parent company’s support?

A:This demerger is proof of our good health and solidity and is possible because we are efficient. As an independent company we will be able to focus exclusively on our business and on our clients.

Q:3. Will the restructuring have an impact on your business?

A:Yes, it will enable us to focus exclusively on our business and on what our clients expect from us. We entered China in 2000 with business burgeoning in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Wuxi. We have become a fully-fledged issuer, the only one with 50 years of international experience.

Q:4. Why did you change your brand name?

A:Accor group decided to split its hospitality and services businesses into two companies. The hospitality business will keep the name Accor; therefore it followed logically that we should change our name.

Q:5. What are the benefits for me as a client?

A:As an independent company we will be able to dedicate ourselves exclusively to our business and our clients. All our financial, technical and human resources will be devoted entirely to our business. For our clients that will mean greater flexibility, innovation and responsiveness.

Q:6. What should I tell my employees?

A:We are still the same company with the same services and still function in exactly the same way.

Q:7. What group do you belong to now?

A:We have become a completely independent company. This is a unique position in our market, where we are the only independent issuer active world-wide. Our solidity and maturity in this business enabled us to become autonomous in the interests of both the market and our clients.

Q:8. Have you been sold or merged with another company or are you a new company and what is your company’s nationality?

A:The demerger makes us a new company legally. As for the rest, we remain what we are, a company with its head quarters in France, with 50 years of experience and world-wide operations. We are keeping the same networks of shops, the same teams, and will continue to function in exactly the same way.

Q:9. Why are you no longer part of Accor?

A:Historically, the Accor group has two businesses: hospitality and services (prepaid products). As a result of transformations in these markets and in our company the group decided to split its two businesses so that each could function independently, focus more on their respective core businesses, and be stronger and more responsive.

Q:10. Will the products and services change?

A:Our activities will remain exactly the same. We remain the same. What is certain is that being independent will allow us to devote ourselves entirely to our business and our clients and we will therefore be able to be more innovative and more proactive in this market.

Q:11. What is going to happen to the product brand names?

A:The products’ brand names, logos, Red ball will remain exactly the same and will not be changed, including “YAGAO e Card”. “YAGAO e Card” will still be accepted. We will also keep on innovation aimed at clients’ needs and develop our new products under the Product Family Brands as “Ticket Benefit”, “Ticket Compliments”, etc.

Q:12. How will the relationship marketing services function?

A:Relationship Marketing Services will use the new corporate brand, Edenred directly. Its expertise, commitment to the clients/ partners will remain the same.

Q:13. Will shops and restaurants continue to accept your YAGAO e Card?

A:Yes, exactly as they were before.
Edenred, new corporate has the contractual right to use the Accor Services brand name for a relatively long transition period.
Contractually, absolutely nothing will change for YAGAO e Card. The contracts that we have with our clients, affiliates, partners, suppliers will continue under the same conditions. YAGAO e Card will therefore still be accepted everywhere where they are currently taken.

Q:14. What will happen to the web site?

A:At first our website will still function with the same address. In the near future, we will have a new address and a new company name that will function alongside the current address for a period of time. We will keep all our clients and partners carefully informed of any possible changes they might need to make. Whatever happens, the changes will be minimal and easy.


All the websites for China will gradually be updated with the new logo and website domain address.

Q:15. Consequences for client companies: support, solidity, leadership, etc.

A:We remain the same company and we will now focus exclusively on our business. This change strengthens both our leadership and our solidity and allows us to devote even more attention to our clients.
